I've looked around and can't find a good answer but i want to know what the feeder schools are for Catholic High and St. Michael's High Schools. Not interested in Redemptorist

Anyone have any idea on what catholic primary schools generally go to which high school?

I would assume St. Jean Vianney and St. Thomas Moore go to St. Michaels
Our Lady of Mercy and St. Alphonsus most likely goes to Catholic I would assume.
but what about St. George, Most Blessed Sacrament, Sacred Heart, St. Jude, St Louis

Does it work that way sort of or is it more of a everyone just kind of goes wherever?

St. George and STM had a lot go to catholic when I was there.

Honestly there was a decent mix of each school though.

They are all feeder schools if your kid is good enough to get into Catholic High.

Some are called "feeder schools" but your kid can go wherever he/she wants. I went to SJV and was one of the around 5% of kids to go to Catholic rather than St. Michaels

Most of St Jude, St George, and St A go to Catholic. If the kid is smart and involved and a good kid, they should get into catholic regardless.

What kind of good enough? good enough like grades and/or sports wise, or good enough like i'm so and so and my dad is so and so and we own this and we've done this?

SO the upper class and better athletes go to Catholic, and the middle class kids go to St. Michaels and Redemptorist?

So you ask a question and don't even wait for an answer before you start showing your bitterness? Sounds like someone went to bishop....

One of the 3 is required for CHS:
Good grades
Good athlete
Connections

And it wouldn't say St Michael's is all middle class. I knew some people there that were in no way hurting for money.

It's not hard to get into Catholic. I don't get where the "good enough" thing comes from. I am not near upper class, made ok grades and played a few sports and got into Catholic.

Basically if you go to a catholic middle school and make ok grades you are fine. If you're kid is a dumbass then you might need connections and $$

What is with BR and this feeder school crap? Can't your kid go wherever? I dont think there was such a thing in Metairie/New Orleans. Maybe Christian Bros was the exception as most kids went to Jesuit.

yes they can, but i think it has alot to do with proximity.

chs is on one side of town and bishop is on the other
