isnt he the coach who yanked a kids scholarship b/c he felt the team relied on his production too much?

sounds like a major a-hole.

he'll be great for Bobby.

UAB fans may be happy but how bad is it at UAB if a guy quits a HC gig to be coordinator again. lmao

UAB should run over to hoover and hire niblett and be done with it.

eta - although hoover high school might be a better job than UAB at this point.

I wouldn't trade if I were Hoover's head coach.
UAB has annoying fans, poor facilities, and hr worst D1-A stadium by far.

Yeah, Hoover is a better job, at the moment. But it could be his chance.

ETA:

I do think UAB could have a really good program.

They need to focus more on winning and less on getting a new stadium for a losing team.

And he's bringing in Chris Klenakis. That snaggle tooter motherfricker was a terrible OL coach and was even worse at recruiting OL.

The only Petrino position coaches that were worth a shite were Caldwell and Peoples. And maybe Paul P as nothing more than a WR coach.

Doesn't look good for UAB. Doesn't sit well on McGee's long term resume either.

I just heard Pete Rouselle say that UAB had assistants making as little as $40k. Is this true? If so there is no way they can be competitive.
