I'm sure it is for a lot of people. I'd sure as hell take it.

Saban and Nuss had different philosophies and weren't a good fit.

He's a dumbfrick who wanted to be cute instead of pounding Henry 25 times a game

Why would Saban hire him then?

When he was helping winning NC he wasn't dumb but now he is?

Actually... yeah he was. Many wanted him fired after the A&M loss.

Please tell me you haven't forgotten that horrible 1st and goal series?

He's their scapegoat for their defense getting raped in the last two games.

I've been trying to figure this out since I first read it. The only thing that makes sense is a falling out privately between Nuss and Saban.

I see the disaster this season coming down to two defensive failures - the auburn TD pass in the waning minutes of the iron bowl, and giving up first and thirty to OU. Nuss did fine from what I can see.

No no no. Only LSU hires coaches who have been fired. I mean, who hires fired coaches?

That was on AJ.. A regular season loss for NC I would take that any day.. To me when we played Bama for the NC in 2011 he called a great game to me.. To go after the honey badger was a smart offensive play calling.

this was mcelwain, not Nuss

As stated above, Nuss tends to get pass-happy. This can be seen in all of our losses (and a lot of our wins) the last two seasons.

eta: not blaming the losses on Nuss...our defense played poorly. I'm just not upset that he left. I'd prefer Nuss to Kiffin, though.

THIS. I know he didn't have a good year this year at Michigan but other than Lewan they had a terrible O line. I like what he did with the Auburn offense in the early 2000s.

He was probably fired, but Saban helped him
find a new gig. Bama was supposed to have an
awesome offense this season, but was average at best.
It was time for a change at OC. Too many weapons to
Only be average. IMO
