It seems like delusion is very common in Lafayette these days. My co worker is a ULL alumni and he told me today that ULL is a better school than LSU Why do so many ULL fans/alumni hate LSU so much? You really can't compare the two schools but ULL people always try to do so. LSU alumni like myself could care less about ULL

It's from a recent thread about a guy they're looking for in Lafayette. It just happens to be exactly what a lot of us picture as a stereotypical "Lafayette" dude.

In certain programs ULL is superior.

ULL grads typically think that LSU gets all the state funding and it is unfair to ULL. They jelly so they come with this superior school crap.

I have great memories of Thibodaux in the early 2000's. Nicholls was like a giant high school. South Lafourche/Central Lafourche all rolled up into one.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't spent a few night in Rox's and one unfortunately incident at Bullwinkles that involved oil wrestling.

Bullwinkles...many regretful memories early on in my party days. Getting shite faced and not remembering a thing and then wake up the next morning smelling like Peppers Pizza. Fun times

Alumnus who don't understand how universities work certainly give LSU a great name.

Depending on the college you're in (that's your major) one school can be better than the other. Are you in the business college? OK, pick LSU. Are you in Computer Science? Pick UL.

However, with Jindal's cuts to both systems, I doubt that long term either university will be worth a shite.
