Lane Kiffin, coach in waiting...

Saban must secretly hate Bama if that's the plan. That or he wants to make sure that his legacy looks even larger when Lane tanks things.

As OC? Kiffin might not be bad. As a potential coach in waiting?

Kiffin is an average at best play caller.

An encouraged-to-look-around Doug Nussmeier

Has Saban really encouraged him to look around? Why? Why not encourage Kirby to look around then after the last 2 games?

It would be epic and hilarious to see the biggest douche in college history wearing bama colors

Mostly because our defense is predicated around a DT in the middle that can eat two blocks. Secondly, Saban knows he didn't do everything he could to win either of those games. Thirdly and lastly, Nuss calls the same plays over and over to the point its like watching a game of Tecmo Bowl

Saban doesn't talk to nussmier on the headset? All sabans coordinators run sabans offense anyway. They've looked the same since jimbo. And prob before that but no one knew who saban was before that. I don't think it really matters who is oc is.

As one of the worst play callers in college football the last two years.

His play calling was awful. Good hire if y'all get him

Did you overlook his stint as OC under Pete Carroll? He oversaw the 2005 offense.

Lane Kiffin was God awful as a play caller at USC the past season and a half. Lulz.

He was in over his head as OC and head coach. But did well under Pete Carroll. He also had some success at Tennessee, fixing the mess Fulmer left on offense.

Yeah and the majority of y'all were shitting on Cam Cameron's hire for getting fired by Ravens.

What Kiffin did almost ten years matters way less then what he did the past few years, with a bunch of extremely talented players. Congrats on considering a guy who's play-calling took USC to the dumpster.

You just complained about something that you turned around and used to argue against Lane Kiffin's abilities as a play caller.

So Saban didn't really care to win those last two games?

I welcome him as a TE coach/recruiting coordinator. I would be pissed if we hired him as OC.

I would be fine with him joining the staff in that capacity. I really like Coach Nuss. Don't want him to leave.

But I do think people get wrapped up in Kiffin's failures at Oakland and USC, and his scandalous year at Tennesee. The guy does have a good report with QBs and play calling. He was just a terrible head coach.

All of bama nation is stupid including your coach. Ya"ll are overreacting to 2 tough loses. One of which is against your rivals and other was a game where the team was distracted and still thinking about the iron bowl. But hey its good for LSU that saban is panicking.

Panicking? If you're not doing quality control you're falling behind. Change is enevitable. New ideas help this thing keep going.

I don't disagree with this but there was nothing really wrong with your offense. Its your defense that failed you down the stretch, not mention a team that was on top for 2 years and predictably lost its edge.

Kiffin was good at USC because they had no competition in terms of talent in the PAC when he was OC, and this was during/coming off of their awesome run.
