I'm on record as saying that 9 January 2012 changed my view of him. He had an aura about him before that. He lost that luster in a bad way.

He can get it back.

He IS the key to LSU football for the modern LSU man. No way around it. I watched all 26 of the LSU youtube videos that I've saved, and I can't help but get a bit of a feeling about what our boys achieved under CLM.

God bless him. He will retire here. He will have a winning record against certain small people when he does. I wish SEC football was a twice-a year-cycle, but it isn't. See you boys in August.

I'm drunk and overstaying my welcome on holiday R&R. Back to the states in March.

les is a good program builder and recruiter, but he is a ceo coach, has to have good coordinators, see mack brown. lol, actually, we may still be talking about dinardo had he kept carl reese as his dc. dinardo had things going in the right direction, but tanked after 1997 when mack brown hired reese away to texas, then well, tepper (spit).

the results do speak for themselves. it could be better, sure, it could also be a helluva lot worse. i remember 1992.

I disagree, the great players we have had are LSU football for me (29 btw). Dinardo brought us back from the grave, Saban built us up, and Les is arguably maintaining.... He IS NOT LSU football, the program is way bigger than a coach now.

couldnt agree more. this is LSU, not dietzel, saban or miles state university.

as far as recruiting, hell hallman had a couple of top5 classes. everyone remember when we got all those freshmen rbs, lol, feckin hallman.

People argue about it quite frequently. The last two years have been disapointing for me, I think we were better than our record both years. I am not saying he is not doing a good job, what I am saying is that an argument can be made for/against him. Especially with recent recruiting results.

I've always claimed to have an "aura" myself but my wife keeps claiming that it's just my farts.
