Great movie, incredible performances.
A must see for any PTA fan.
What did the board think of it?
It was weird as hell at times but I enjoyed it overall.
Phoenix was great in it, as well as Hoffman.

Absolutely HATED it when I watched it but after discussing it with a friend who really enjoyed it I'm thinking about rewatching with a different perspective.

Most people didn't care for it. I really liked it, and Phoenix gave the best performance that year, and I love DDL.

Terrible movie that plodded along for far too long while managing to go nowhere all at the same time.
It was a character sketch more than a movie and it sucked arse.
The board is fairly well divided on it, though I think more disliked it than liked it.

I have no interest to ever watch it again and I love all of PTA's movies, except this one. This was a weak swing and a huge miss.
Sure it has some decent acting but the story is boring and could have been so much more.
