There is a guy at work that laughs all the time.

Janitor is sweeping - deep belly laugh
Light flickered - hilarious
Out of coffee? - You would think he is front row at a stand up routine.

Any conversation starts and ends with him laughing. It almost seems like a medical condition.

I'm not really complaining, it seems to make me smile as well. It's just really odd.

The worst is having an employee like this. I hate when he fricks up...I can't help but want to slap the shite out of him when it comes time to discipline him. He just sits there with a smirk on his face and I know he wants to laugh. (He's one of those nervous laugh people)

Don't be such a serious dick all the time. Laughing is good for you.

I do it because it's how I cope with face to face conversation. Guess I'm a little phobic.

I still remember one of my buddies, who does laugh a lot, saying at one point in a conversation "Man, I haven't laughed in a while" and starts looking anxious. I obviously laughed at this, and he laughed back, and I realized that he did indeed laugh at almost everything. And I loved that about him.

From that point on, I've tried to laugh as much as possible.

Not this much, but I did laugh at the thought of someone laughing at things like this.

Probably on benzos. I couldn't stop laughing and would often pass out from laughing so hard when I was on Lorazepam and Klonopin a few years back.

Also, there are a few mental health conditions responsible for this as well.

Wife's Grandmother was depressed her entire life until some dr. put her on one of these drugs. She then laughed at EVERYTHING. Drove her daughter crazy but she seemed genuinely happy in her final 10 years or so.
