Thoughts On Nainggolan Signing & What It Means For Bradley

Now that Nainggolan has been signed by Roma, what does it mean for Bradley?
Supposedly, Roma wants Bradley to stay and figure into their rotation of MFs. When asked about him during a discussion regarding the Nainggolan signing, Giulianelli stated: Bradley will stay in Rome. They like the added depth not only for Serie A but also CL. However, Twellman just said on ESPNFC that Bradley has requested a transfer.
Will he stay or will he go? And if he goes, to who?
Fulham? Aston Villa? Hellas Verona?

I'm not sure. Nainggolan also seems to be a CM/CDM like Bradley but I could be wrong about that. Bradley will probably play in their next game since De Rossi is suspended and still will play a decent amount in the future I would imagine.
I don't want him moving to Fulham or Villa though, and I don't think a move to the PL is in his plans...

Is he better than Bradley? I've never heard of this dude and that's pretty rare. I play a lot of FIFA.

Everyone I have spoken to that is not American says yes.
I personally think Nainggolan is a little overrated but he is going to get the minutes, no doubt.

He's pretty damn good. Last year was probably his real "coming out" season and he's continued the excellent form this year.
It's actually a bit surprising that Roma was able to get him as Juve, Milan, Inter and Napoli were all been heavily vying for his signature (dating back through the summer window).
Similar to Bradley in his penchant for tireless, athletic box to box play, Naingolan is a much better pure ball winner and tackler, statistically among the best in Europe.
Naingolan's been much more a box to box guy than a pure defensive mid that will sit in front of the CBs like De Rossi does so one would assume Bradley's still De Rossi's likely backup.
I would have said until recently that Bradley was just as good going forward but, unfortunately, Bradley's really not done that well in the attacking half for a while now.
I think this means Bradley's time will be more limited to filling in for De Rossi and being available for tactical shifts and late defensive substitutions. Naingolan will likely be the guy you see more often play if Strootman or Pjanic are out in the near future and eventually may force his way into more lineups in their place or cause Garcia to move into a 4-2-3-1 at certain times.
I think Bradley would do well to stay on as he'll still play enough that it's better than going into a possible bad situation but I could see him wanting to leave this summer (even if a CL spot should mean he still figures to play even if a bit less than he'd hope).

I've seen it said before but would it benefit Bradley's game/style of play to stay in Italy and just move to a different team with how Serie A soccer is played compared to say the BPL? I would love to be able to watch him more in the BPL, but as important as he is to the USMNT I would rather him play where his skill set can evolve more.

Naingolan has been highly regarded in Europe for a couple of years, he just played on a low profile team in Serie A... I'm surprised he hasnt left prior to this...

Juventus has flirted with signing Naingolan for a couple of transfer windows now, missing out on the second half of champs league money cost getting him signed

Just in my opinion the way staying at a solid Serie A club would (have) help(ed) his game is simply that there's such a premium placed on "reading the game" in Italy.
You hear this from every single player that moves to Serie A as well as Bradley commenting on it numerous times himself.
I think that's where Bradley improved immensely during his season at Chievo.
At the risk of offending, even at 26, I think he still could stand to learn a lot in this regard. His defensive reading of the game isn't really on par with the better defensive mids in Serie A even if he makes up for it somewhat with hustle, bustle and muscle.
His attacking off the ball runs are great but he's been a bit of an attacking play killer as well at Roma when on the ball.
