That's assuming he has any value. I'm pretty sure we already had to pick up his option for next year. One possibility that we never really discuss much is that maybe he's honestly 6th on the depth chart. I guess 7th if you throw Miller in the group. Everyone says he's good defensively because he very obviously plays aggressive on ball defense. Can any of you X and O guys tell us how Rivers plays off ball defense? I do know that his defensive rebound rate is significantly lower that Roberts'. He also has a much lower assist rate because most of the time he's standing in the corner. Undeserved favoritism of Roberts, or a sign of a lack of trust in Rivers to run the offense?

A lot of us including myself are assuming he's earned more minutes, but if he were a no name UDFA, would we really be calling for more minutes? His skill set and minimal production makes him pretty similar to Xavier Henry, I don't recall many people calling for Henry to get more minutes last season, in fact many of us questioned why he was getting minutes instead of Darius Miller.
