EBR should have either opened on time or closed today.

I don't care either way, but the 2 hour delay backfired. There were many upset parents, kids who skipped, and kids who were allowed to stay home. The day was basically a waste. I had back up plans in case that happened, but 60% of my students were absent. This was the case for most of our teachers. I also talked to teachers from other schools; 40-60% were absent at those 3 schools too.

Moral of this story: EBR makes bad decisions.

The City of St. George would not have done this.

Like I said, they made a horrible decision and wasted money.

Was it snowing or were the roads iced over? If not why delay school? Also, I 100% agree that if you are delaying 2 hours you might as well just cancel the day.....it's so stupid not to.

EBRPSS is not run by a bunch of intelligent people. This is what you get when you have what's in charge across much of EBR, a bunch of low life morons making stupid decisions

Nope - just freaked out because the low was supposed to be 18, which is cold for here, but still...

Not replying to you directly, but people need to realize that it's probably a good idea that we don't make kids stand out by the road in projected 18 degree weather waiting for the bus.

Less than half of them will graduate, and most will birth illegitimate babies and be on some form of welfare, and vote Democrat...for the rest of their lives.

Oh, hi there big nuts. Fortunately, my parents were able to provide me with decent clothing for cold days, but I started riding the bus at 7, and I know a lot of children are at the mercy of who can provide for them.

It's not pussy to think that some poor kid, and probably a substantial number in EBR, is sitting on the corner wearing entirely inappropriate clothing for the weather.

No snow. No iced over roads. No rain. Just a little cold snap. 25 degrees.

Apparently kids don't have coats so they couldn't open school at a normal time. That's the excuse the school board used.

You're being disingenuous if you don't think that's the case for a large part of the EBR school system.
