Ok we all know the magic 25 number but how many scholly's can we give

We sign 25 for a class but not all of them actually come. Any idea how many scholly's we actually have available?

Jarod, that's the number we can sign but how many scholly's can we give out since that limit is 85 and 25 a year equals 100

We can still give out 25 schollies. That's why natural attrition is necessary.

If you feel the need to say schollies instead of scholarship you automatically forfeit yours.

In today's high pressure big business world of college football, the 85 doesn't restrict the 25 unless the coach chooses to let it. They will process as many as needed to make the numbers work. The scholarships are only for one year and you have to earn it to keep getting it.

After yesterday and today we just lost 2 for next with with Hill and Collins coming back. My question is do we actually go 25 and cut others?

This thread pops up once a week, and the answer is not even Miles knows yet. It all depends on attrition, whether that's through graduation, the draft, or someone transferring. By the end of the spring semester the picture will be pretty clear, it's pointless to ask the question now.

I don't think we will have to cut others.
We have 94 on the roster now, total (Brazil gone, Eugene still listed). At least 10 to 15 Freshmen are walk-ons (we list 37 freshmen), so we're not even at 85 right now. Assuming 84 (we know Brazil is gone) - we're losing 15 or so to graduation and the NFL. Just another 5 or 6 upper class walkons (there are at least that many) and the usual off-season attrition allows us to sign 25 - I'm fairly confident.
