Especially with GW3 going to the Gators I am pretty concerned at the lack of depth and experience on the D-Line next year

Are there any JUCO Lineman that could come in and play right away if we land them(ie Nick Fairley)? Maybe a better question would be if there are any worth targeting?

TIA and I know yall get a lot of flame threads this time of year so I apologize if this is perceived in that way

As much as I would like there to be, juco guys almost never contribute in their first year and end up tying up a scholarship that might have been better used at another position.

Say what? Not a lot of experience in that list.

we are fine at DE but DT is a legit concern.

Freak and Ego were on the vast majority of the snaps this season. The DL play wasn't that great to begin with and the backups got a few snaps in but not many.

LaCouture got the most snaps of the backups and Q. Thomas got a few too.

Seems like all the guys that played were the ones with not much passrush ability.

Beckwith needs to play more
What ever happened to Patterson? Loved his HS film, thought he would be a good one.
Last I heard about Neal, Miles was raving about him in fall camp....... Then he never played
Damn we could use Carter

I don't think we're "fine" at either spot. This years DEs didn't show me a lot. I'm sure they will be better but therrs no guarantrr. At DT, I have to believe that if those young pups were special at least 1 or 2 wouldve played seeing as though we struggled for a rotation all year. We have plenty of numbers and I think we will be fine but there is reason to be concerned.

Why do people suddenly say that since Willis is gone we need experience at DT? Has played in college and I misses it? The 2 mean nothing to each other. We shouldve been on JC guys all year not just now since the Willis thing

High school/CC recruits aren't gonna fix the experience issue. We have talent. They may or may not step up big time. No one knows, but we're not as thin in personnel as people are saying.

GW3 wasn't going to do jack shite next year. We had two guys sign last year, who were just as highly regarded as GW3, and neither Herron nor Gilmore saw the field. Losing GW3 hurts us in three years - maybe the year after next.

So what you're saying is, MrPackSix, if you look at the list above, you don't have faith in our recruiting. If you're not happy with the recruiting that's been done in that area over the past two years, why will any additional recruits solve the problem, right?

He's 6'3" 290. That's plenty big enough. For comparison sake, Anthony Johnson is 6'3" 294. No one ever questioned his size.

If yo haven't noticed, 300lb DTs are no longer the majority of DL. As teams are spreading out, you need to be faster.

We've been doing pretty well actually. We are just so used to getting a good amount that this year feels like nothing.
