It's definitely possible.

That'd be the strangest combination though. Petrino and Vandy.

It would be odd match, but something tells me Petrino is itching to get back in the sec.

I really didn't think they would have the balls to hire another coach that had anyone under him (players, coaches, whatever) tied to rape.

This is a really shitty PR move IMO.

I kinda feel this same way. He also doesn't seem to be a personality fit with their culture up there. He's the anti-Paterno almost.

Meaning he's not the whitest of white people.

No. Meaning he's not the "awe shucks" type of personality who will speak with a quiet, calm voice to the media. He's boisterous. He has personality.

If by "shoving rapes under the rug," you mean "kicking said players off the team before any charges were even announced." Typical bullshite from your corner.

If someone stating the obvious causes you to lash out to the point of comically bragging about winning three games since 1983 because they have the word Tennessee in their username then the meltdown on the way is going to epic. Seriously, REG collect yourself. Franklin's leaving. He's done all he can do at Vandy and with Matthews and others leaving he's getting out while the getting is good. You can't blame him for that.

Weather the storm next year and rebuild. It sucks but it is what it is. Vandy has weathered far worse and losing Matthews is far worse than losing CJF. You can replace CJF.

I'm not denying any of that, in fact I agree. I wish him the best, and I'll follow his progress at Penn St. But I get incensed hearing bullshite like "he cant wait to leave Vandy." Franklin invested himself 100% in the team, school, and community while he's been here. He went above and beyond the call of duty for a coach. Its obviously not the best job in college football, but to imply that JF was somehow miserable or stuck in a dead end job is spewing crap.

Ok I can see what you're saying there. I don't know if that's what the poster you were replying to meant but I can see how it could be read that way. While Vandy's a tough job, Nashville's a great city, imo. It's hard to be miserable in a good town.

Per randon twitter Franklin and Munchak turned down PSU, and they're going to announce Rich Bisaccia as HC, Johnson as DC and Mark Whipple as OC.
