I just think this game is so ambitious that a console launch or even close to console launch release had no chance of happening.

This doesn't shock me. Every podcast I listened to and every article I read had doubts that it would be ready in time. Ubisoft seems to be pushing titles back a lot lately but if they get it done right I am ok with it.
