I've got to go with jernigan. Even though he crapped out on that last AU TD drive, he completely shut down the inside run for most of the night. Straight beast.

Jernigan on D and Whitfield (sp) on the kick return. It was obvious when Jernigan was on the sideline in the late 4th.

Tre Mason is a close runner up. I thought Auburn had a good shot to win going in, but I did not think he would get close to 200 yds.

Auburn looked like it wasn't surprised with the fake, but the reverse was a good call.

Yep, it reminded me of Bama's fake against LSU. You can tell basically every LSU guy was ready for a fake, just not ready for that reverse.

The Defensive MVP going to Williams was total BS. He made a key INT, but he ended up fumbling it. If Jernigan wasn't gassed at the end of the game he would have got it.

There's only one logical answer here. And that is Red Lightning.

I had no idea Jernigan was battling the flu either. But yea he was the Defensive MVP.

The offensive MVP was Rashard Greene imo.

But Tre Mason was the best player on the field.

Jernigan or Telvin Smith on D

Rashad Greene on O...without him, you literally might have only scored on the FG return

Tre Mason broke the BCS Title game record for most rushing yards.

He should've been OMVP, and Jernigan should've been DMVP.

BTW if Jernigan didn't play last night, Auburn runs away with that game. The difference in the FSU rush defense with him on and off the field was very evident.

I was simply choosing from the winning team. Obviously Tre Mason was the best offensive player on the field last night.

Mason was the best player on the field, either team.

I agree.
However, that is a hell of a group of athletes that Jimbo and staff have assembled. Wonder how many will go immediately to the NFL.

Tough to argue with that. Although Mason, Jernigan, Whitfield (for his amazing run), and Jameis have to be the top 4.

I watched that Whitfield run back multiple times this morning and the last AU guy had the angle on him, but Whitfield just dusted him. Absolutely incredible run.
