Has anyone mentioned this was the third best statistical year Drew has had in NO? Just curious. From the looks of things around here the guy is washed up. Saints fans are turning into LSU fans. :shutter:

I understand the timing of the turnovers were worse than in year's past but I urge everyone to look up a thing called variance and stop embarrassing yourselves with your ridiculous claims of his downfall and "overpaid" bullshite. The same people will be reminiscing about "the good old days" after Drew is long gone and the franchise is still running in place trying to replace him. He can't be replaced. He's a once in a lifetime player, enjoy it while it lasts before you wake up one Sunday and a Billy Joe or two is under center.

INB4: So you are saying he's been good this year?

Yes. Shut up.

I think he leads the team in rushing touchdowns too.

EXACTLY AS I PREDICTED.

I like Drew's rushing attack almost as much as I like his passing attack.

most of those comments are just made in frustration during gameday.

people don't believe half the shite they say on here.

it isn't any different than a radio host like Cowherd or Finebaum stirring the pot.

they want attention.

he's always seemed to throw a handful of bad interceptions each year though. But that is just part of the game. He has all the confidence in the world in his ability so he isn't scared to let it rip even if his man is covered.

how many times has he completed a pass and you wondered, how the hell did he just do that?

it works both ways, guts can take you so far but they can get you killed too.

I say this all the time. After he threw the second INT, he dropped a perfect ball over double coverage to Jimmy down the sideline. Everyone said "wow great throw". That same throw gets picked the next week and everyone says "what an awful decision, terrible throw". It's part of what makes him great. Sometimes those throws become turnovers but more often than not, in the past, he completes those balls.

This year a higher percentage of those risky throws have been deflected or picked. Again, it's just variance.

I think it's due to the drop off of his play from home to away games. We are spoiled by his level of play in the Dome, which is just insane. On the road, especially in the playoffs, he is good for some bad picks and just doesn't look like himself. He never has been that great on the road though, so we shouldn't really say it's a downward swing. Hopefully he avoids the picks against Seattle because we need a home Drew Brees performance.

I'm just glad Ingram and Robinson were able to earn Drew his money Saturday.
