Best of luck and prays sent. If I was up to it, I would be down there to help. I used to hunt that area way back in the late 1960's. We had a camp there too. Hurricane Betsy wiped that out for my Dad.

Patiently awaiting update. An animal's will to live is incredible. He will be found in good health, if a little light

Aye Aye... operation golden dos gris begins..

just talked to someone that scanned the north western side of refuge - near Irish bayou and Lake P pretty good in the inky black darkness with a pretty powerful light - no eyeballs that looked like a dog....

certainly the water will be rising a bit more today with east winds...

I think it is a safe bet that he is east of stump bayou...

Another map of the area. North X is were they were hunting. Bottom X is where Grizz was last seen. The area from west to east is about 4 milies. Noth to south about 2 miles.
The distance between the red Xs is 2 miles straight line

Nice update to the map.

Getting some boats along that Lake P shore line for a look out can also catch some fish while at it.

How early? You think he might have been bedded down?

Another thing.....How do yall plan on getting him if you can't walk on the marsh? Maybe rent the chopper and push him somewhere like they do with hogs? Jump out with a rope?

The north wind from the cold front dropped the water about 2', with a south wind returning that water will start rising. This will allow for a lot more access.

Man,we circled the area for at least 15 minutes.I didn't see shite.Just kept an eye out for something moving because you cannot differentiate the color of that dog from the surrounding marsh.

I'm sorry man and hopefully the dog is in Venitian Isles like I said earlier.

anyone have access to a hot air balloon in the area. You can just almost raise up just a little bit and hold steady and try to look at whole area.
