It may not ruin your marriage and family but certainly your bank account. The odds are not with you.

I'm aware. I'm really just curious about individual experiences with different betting systems. I may give it a shot for fun. Blow/make a little money.

What do you mean have experience with it? You will always go broke with it if that's what you mean.

I know the house always has the advantage in the long run. I'm interested in short-run gains.

Keep in mind that the government could shut down the site at any moment and all your funds will be gone, just like what happened with a lot of poker sites.

Take it from me. Online blackjack is rigged. They pull you in, you get up $80-$100, and then you say oh hell I'm up this much. Let's keep playing.

Then you lose 30 hands in a row and you're putting another $100 in your account.

Many a drunk night coming home from the bar would I do this. I'd also do it sober. Don't do it. It's the most obviously rigged thing there is.

Say you try 10 times to have short run gains. You will only succeed twice maybe.

Bodog was one such site. Dude at work was asking about it as he made some basketball bets. Next day he opened site to the us govt seal.

Never have anything in the account more than being afraid to lose.

The online gambling layout at present is run by thugs, crooks, and mobsters.
The funds will eventually be seized. Also all the "legit" online casinos shut down for us users after black Friday.

Call your congressman and tell them to repeal the UIGEA and the PPA is a good resource.

They are all legit and very favorable for you to win big! I say put as much as you can on the fewest bets you can and win it all!

I played the martingale system on roulette in Hollywood casino. I kept betting on black. It kept landing on red. I lost $1000 in 5 minutes.

The problem with the martingale system is table limits. You will eventually not be able to put up enough for it to work.

ETA: I had marginal success one night with the 1-3-2-6 system. You can Google it for further info but basically you start with one unit (let's say a $5 chip). If you lose, you play 1 unit again, but if you win, you play 3 ($15). If you lose you go back to 1 ($5) but if you win you go to 2 ($10). The thought behind it is that instead of getting punished for losing (like the martingale), you are rewarded for winning streaks. If you get to the six unit bet ($30) you are playing with house money, and you can win big. The problem with this system is that the worst case scenario is when you lose on your 3 unit bet (because this is when you have the most money invested into it). This seemed to happen a lot. Good luck!
