I believe that's all documented.
It was I believe a couple of young men that 1st excavated it.I'm not sure why.
The timbers were every 10 feet or so starting at 40 feet.
They also found some banana leaves I believe.
Then at 80 feet I think the water started filling it.
It's strange.All that stuff was put there by man.Why?

Yeah its definitely intriguing as shite... Although last weeks episodes started to bring in the "Reality TV" angle. Set up emotional play and all that jazz.
Its kind of like the Bigfoot hunters reality show. You know they don't find shite, because if they did all the info would be out already.

Why not watch some online videos that explain it.
The island has been tied up in court for years.
Kinda hope they go into the litigation as part of the history.

I've been watching this, and while its very interesting and i tend to get very glued to it, I remind myself its a reality TV show. So it's grandized and somewhat staged.

Anyone know how much $$$ these two brothers have to invest in this search? They seem legit on the show and bring in real equipment and don't just sit there and speculate. I do think that something is up with this island. If you look at the satellite images of the area there are several other islands connected by shallow water in the area. I think that the swamp area was man made and that there probably is something down there.

I just hope this show does not end up like the Hidden Treasure of Jesse James documentary they did I believe in 2010.
It was a great show and at the end they did scans of the ground and found a reading that indicated a huge chest buried deep in the ground. They went to dig it up with a tractor and said that they needed better equipment and Winter came early so they would have to come back next Spring....Never heard anything else since that.

They found a ton of coconut fiber in the soil in some parts by a man made beach. The closest place those fibers are found is Bermuda. I think they carbon dated it to like before anything that had been previously found on the island. Maybe pre 1850's or so.

Not sure how factual but i did some reading online about Oak Island and there appears to be remnants of an old dam off of Smith's cove that would have allowed for the flood tunnels to be dug. Very interesting things on this island.

The issue is, IF they ever find something, it is going to come out long before the show airs... Same with the bigfoot hunter shows or anything of real mystery that has public attention.
The moment something is discovered proving them true, someone is going to say something... They aren't going to wait 4-6 months until the episode airs.
