Central Schools Closing Tuesday Due to Weather

They are already out of school for the holidays and were scheduled to go back tomorrow (Monday). They now want them to come back to school Wednesday. No big deal. Most BR people aren't equipped to drive in freezing cold wet conditions.

This is getting out of hand.

Students were scheduled off Monday. The first day students were scheduled to report was Tuesday.

Les is losing control of the Central school board!

This area can't get that cold unless the skies are clear. Clouds keep us insulated. No way there is icy conditions. They are leaving the heat off a couple extra days to save money. No regards for the parents that made plans using their posted schedule. It's an abuse of the system that will give the staff and extra paid vacation day, save the system thousands, and put the burden of care onto the parent. Oh. They lose an instruction day too.

More time for the teachers to party

Brtigerfan, almost all school systems have 2 extra days already set into their schedule for hurricane days/snow days, so actually, they arent losing a day of instruction and teachers arent gaining more pay. There would have been 2 extra days of school if no problematic days occured
