I went to the Google store and asked them. They said cut the tops off, shake out the seeds, toast them, rehydrate and then pulp into a paste.

Now what?

Can you make chili with chiles? Crazy concept, I know.

Dried chile=chili, asado, enchiladas, menudo, rubs, whatever you need to add heat to.

Yes. You grind up the dried chiles in a coffee or spice grinder to make chili powder.

I grind chiles to make a new mexico Red Sauce....I posted a thread on doing this a couple months ago. LINK

I drop 2 or 3 dried chipotle peppers into my gumbo instead of using cayenne. Take the chiles out before serving.

Thanks to both of you.

I am going to experiment with them. I'll try them both ways dry and ground and re hydrated paste.
