I wouldn't include Delaware or Vermont.

The populous areas of Texas, would be my #1.

Followed by Massachusetts and Washington.

Manhattan alone would get NY consideration.

Any highly urbanized state will be yuppie. Seattle is the most "yuppie" city I've ever seen. Dallas is probably close.

Since by definition you have to be a young urban professional to be a yuppie, I'm going with the city-state of Monaco.

I think you have to factor potential economic growth into urbanization.

Your two examples are spot on imo.

Delaware is pretty rural. What do you mean by yuppie? Doubt it's swarming with young professionals compared to other states

Why would you think one of the US'a fastest growing urban economies isn't even "close" to being "yuppie"?

Easily. The urban core of Seattle is full of young urban upwardly mobile professionals. That's..what a yuppie is. Denver, DC, etc.

Maybe OP should define what Yuppie means in his mind.

Your name says it all.

Silicon Valley and Manhattan are in leagues of their own.

Washington is coming on strong though.

Yeah, I think people interchange yuppie and metro.

San Jose seems to be pretty yuppie.
