Miami expects Al Golden to stay with the Hurricanes, athletic director Blake James said Saturday in response to speculation that the football coach may be poised to leave for Penn State. James says he has been in regular communication with Golden in recent days and believes he will remain at Miami. Golden played for Joe Paterno at Penn State and has emerged as a top candidate to replace Bill O'Brien, who resigned to take over as coach of the NFL's Houston Texans.

He should go. He's a better fit for PSU, and UM could find a better fit for their place (Petrino, Schiano)

Theory on Sirius Xm radio was that if he stayed at Miami, then he is angling for an NFL job some time in near future

I think he'd be the guy if Munchak wasn't let go.

Good point. Don't want to burn the bridge back home. Let someone else flop there and go when the ground isn't so radioactive.

The very high likelihood is that Golden is going somewhere. If he doesn't leave immediately, he will be leaving Miami soon. Miami has become a stopover job.

Wow I didn't think he'd turn down the Penn state job.

Why did Munchak get hired by the Titans in the first place?

frick I hope not. LSU would lose out on a 5* DT if he does and possibly a DE in Thomas
