Is this BCS title game the least anticipated in years?

You can get a ticket to the title game for as cheap as $275 on StubHub. That is below face value.
As a point of reference, the worst seats in the house for last year's title game were going for $1,000. Same for the LSU-Bama game the year before.

Did the LSU/Bama fans have to travel across the entire U.S.? Was there awful weather cancelling a bunch of flights? Has there been a bowl game that has sold out, yet?

Probably has something to do with where the game is being played, so somewhat of a low demand.

A lot of peoples couches seem to be better than spending $$$ on tickets, hotels, flights, food, etc.

I'm not totally excited about this one. I don't really care for either team. I'm sure I'll watch casually, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of buzz for this matchup.
I'm sure there will be a full house at the stadium. Poster above was right. Weather across the country, location of both teams in relation to the location of the game is probably a factor.

Yup. I will miss it. I made my travel plans to be traveling on Monday evening when the BCS was announced. I may catch the tail end of the game but I really don't care.
I have to say I don't care who wins. LSU won and Michigan State won and the Sugar and Orange Bowls were somewhat exciting so I'm satisfied. I'm more interested in the NFL playoffs now.
Next year with a playoff will be much better.

The game on a Monday after the holiday season doesn't help much either.

It's always on a Monday following holiday season.

Rose bowl is huge. More seats and further to travel.

It would be something if the Stanford-Michigan State Rose Bowl sold more seats and had higher ratings than the BCS game.
I wonder if the BCS title game is an official sell-out and will we see empty seats. There were no empty seats for the Rose Bowl game.
Supposedly Michigan State had 60,000 fans in attendance I wonder if FSU and Auburn will get close to that.

I am actually hoping the BCS game gets lower ratings and there are empty seats because it's Auburn versus Florida State.
It would be a good repudiation of Auburn getting lucky its last two games and how no one really likes ACC football.

I'll watch, but it won't be from the edge of my seat.

The LSU-Bama game might have been well attended but it has to have been the least anticipated game for the rest of the country if you remember back. People didn't want to see a rematch and didn't want a NC with two teams from the same conference.

I actually think it could have some empty seats. I don't think this game has as much allure as the real Rose Bowl game either.
I'll watch the game, but I really don't care what happens. If it turns out to be as crazy as the rest of the top tier bowl games, awesome! Plus, it's the last of football until spring games (Although I might watch some Arena)

Easily the LSU/Bama rematch was the least anticipated.

You ever heard of this small organization called the NFL? They play games in late January and February.
