How many of you would have rather seen LSU go 4 for 5....

....but lose LF to Alabama?Serious question.

I can honestly say I am more excited about his commitment than I am disappointed about losing the other guys. I really do believe we landed the crown jewel- the guy who is most likely to be that one player we've been waiting to see in Purple & Gold.

I am confident we are getting some great kids in place of those we missed out on- so much so that I wouldn't trade for the scenario I opened with.

No way.

Our replacements for the losses aren't too shabby anyway. LF is a sure thing stud.

I mean seriously. I know Brown is good, but look at what we already have and what is coming later (Tolliver). Depth is good, but Brown literally might not have seen the field much at LSU.

Tough Question tbh. I'm happy we have LF. He was an absolute need. I'd rather go 2 for 5 with LF.

ETA: And yeah, like you said, this opens up a lot of space for other bigtime prospects like malachi dupre, travonte valentine, adoree jackson, and lorenzo carter.

I would have taken the combination of CRob and Willis over Fournette.

But, nah, not to get a WR and corner.

Anyone who says yes is just straight up special or has no clue how great Fournette will be...

The way we recruited the RB position in proceeding classes made LF a must get for us. I would take him over willis, noil and brown for that reason.

the only way people wouldn't be having aneurysms is if we went 5for5

If we lost Fournette to Alabama, who has all of about 10 rbs, wouldve left me scratching my head and I probably wouldve joined the "sky is falling" crowd. The perception of LSU had that happened wouldve been bad enough.

No. if had to choose, I choose to get LF (as long as Paris, Garret, Adams, and _______ (DL) are included).

I put that condition in there because we see what happens when you have a gap occur on defense in any squad (LB, DBs, DLs). It's about minimizing, at least, those gaps.

LF would have left a fricking black hole, not just a gap. We would have gone on and won, but he's so special.

I'm with you, buddy. I honestly believe we'll have in him the kind of player LSU hasn't possessed in many, many years.
Happy to have him as one of our own!

Truly Willis and Crob hurt the worst. The others are just icing on the cake. It sucks don't get me wrong. I have a question how do we get to 25?

The only guys we are expected to get are Valentine and Dupre. Surely the staff has back up plans!?

yah, Willis and CRob are 5*'s at positions of great need. Hands down.

I think we're going to 27 this year... seems to be the consensus here (that's always a guessing game).

Not saying locks... saying targets "Frank Wilson is still counting on":
1. Dupre
2. DT #1 (Valentine?)
3. DT #2 (Speaks or Other?)
4. OT #1(Derrick Kelly Jr?)
5. LB Kenny Young (don't think CFW should be counting this one)
6. OT/OL #2 (who the hell knows)
7. DB- leaving a spot for Adoree or another
8. DE- leaving a spot for Carter or Surprise-1
9. Surprise-2

Have you ever looked at the depth chart? You probably know just the household names.

Ever heard of herron, Gilmore, boutte, lacouture, etc etc

It may be a situation where on NSD we get a couple guys that we have heard very little about.

No way - Fournette is a once in a decade talent. CRob and Willis are dime-a-dozen players that are easiiy replaced.

I think Fournette may really be something special. He has the potential to become the heart of the team for the next 3 years.
