Went there before Sugar Bowl... Might be one of top sports bars I've been to. Former LSU Tight End Malcom Scott works as a bouncer/greeter. Boudin Ballas are excellent and so is shrimp po-boy.

The place gets alot of hate around here, but I like it. The food is good for what you expect. Inexpensive simple bar food. The onion ring app is huge and very good. The burger is good. Chicken sandwich is good. I don't like their chicken "wings" - boneless and not good.

The atmosphere is open friendly with lots of tvs. Whats not to like as a sports themed bar/restaurant?

Speaks to the high caliber of posters we have on this board.

I've heard both on hear and IRL of people going there, dropping $50+ bucks and leaving thinking "wtf did I just pay for? I'm still hungry and still sober."

If this is your bag go to Cooter Brown's. Better food (and that ain't saying much) and plenty of TVs and they actually have a good beer selection.

Oh wait .. but Walk On's has semi-hot bartenders bro!@!!!

I like Cooter Browns better as well, but it's got a different feel to it. Older and smellier with the Amish style seating in the middle.

Walk Ons is a newer brighter cleaner place with a uniquely advantageous location being so close to the superdome and the CBD hotels. It'll do in a pinch, or for visitors.

I'm not saying that it's great. I'm just saying that it definitely doesn't suck.

Yup keeps them out the neighborhood joints.

Also any bar that has kids running around is just not a real solid bar IMO.

I love this line from Brett Anderson's review:

The cook who blanketed my shrimp “alfredeaux” in seasoning blend seemed to have mistaken the spice for powdered sugar and the pasta for beignets.

The food is mediocre bar food, for the most part. I sometimes eat at the bar there for lunch because it's convenient. I just stick to the Caesar chicken salad. It's a pretty safe choice.

Sounds like a really bad car club.
