The top all purpose running back recruit just said he chose Oklahoma because of their win over Bama in the Sugar Bowl.

That was solely why he chose OU

He was asked if it had an impact. He lied and said yes.

Apparently it had a major impact or he wouldn't have mentioned it.

I think a lot of it is due to their top 3 running backs being seniors. Keith Ford and Alex Ross are studs though so he won't walk on the field and be the starter, if he has that mentality.

He was asked.

And all I heard him say is that sealed the deal. He was likely going there anyway.

He said it sealed the deal. I'm just tired of people saying that bowl game performance doesn't matter. Every game matters in how a team is perceived by recruits.

Well, the announcers seem to think it mattered.

OU has been one of his favorites consistently for months now.

Well, I guess the announcers were with that recruit through his entire recruitment, then.

I'll put it like this; if they had instead asked him what are the top reasons he's going to OU I'm quite certain he wouldn't have mentioned the bowl game. It was a bad question.

I know I was exaggerating, but it's equally wrong for people to continually say that one game doesn't matter. Every game matters in how a program is perceived.

Most of these kids have been recruited for years by these coaching staffs. I seriously doubt that after all of that time and effort their decision as to what school to attend comes down to how a school performs in a postseason exhibition game

He saw that psycho, bama mom, Sugar bowl video and didn't want any part of that fanbase.

Leonard Fournette is not going to Oklahoma. And yea, he said it made an impact for him. What was he gonna say?

I didn't see the interview with the "leading line of questions", but I can def see how recruits could be so near-sighted to let a bowl outcome be the straw that breaks the camels back. (I mean its not like those of us on the RB would ever have such a knee-jerk reaction )
