If Saban is being truthful and accurate, this is telling about who the players believe is their chief competition.

Saban quote:

Saban said the Sugar Bowl performance wasn’t a hangover from the Iron Bowl defeat.

“I can’t blame it on that,” he said. “I thought our team late in the season from the LSU game on maybe didn’t have the focus we needed to have. We didn’t pay attention to detail, didn’t do little things right, didn’t practice well. I think that eventually caught up with us in the Auburn game.”

So the relief of winning against LSU weakened their focus even against their most hated rival as well as carried over to the SB.

I would say that's accurate. Everyone wants to talk about LSU being obsessed with Bama but honestly it goes both ways.

I've never seen a coach throw players under the bus like saban. Refuses to man up and admit he was out coached in both games.

Bama knows thats the one game they have to win with that bullshite schedule they play. Then again, I'm wrong. They can lose to LSU at their home field, and still back their way into the NC game.

Yeah, Tenn is horrible. But it serves em right. People need to get a grip with all their "fire Les Miles" crap. Tenn and Nebraska are perfect examples of be careful what you wish for. Tenn fired Fulmer and Nebraska fired Frank Solich following a 9-3 season after a NC game appearance the year before that, and what did it get them. Two teams that flat out suck.
