So my friend who I chill with got a letter in the mail from the City of New Orleans saying his car was bootable due to an unpaid parking ticket. On the letter the license plate they assigned to his card does not match his current vehicle.

He did have an older model car that he sold off a few months back turning in the license plate and all.

I myself feel that if the license plate on the letter does not match his real license plate he can pretty much brush it off. He think he should waste his time and go down there to "resolve." the issue.

What would you do?

While on the subject of parking tickets, I myself got one. Is it wrong of me to make the check out but in the memo part write a smart alec remark or accuse the meter maid of taking bribes?

If your boyfriend just brushes it off he will get booted at some point and have to deal with it anyway and pay a lot more money.
