I know Michigan's putrid season makes me unqualified to ask this question, but do you think your buckeyes had a good season? Are there any major concerns going forward?

We beat Michigan so I find happiness in it despite the recent disappointment.

Besides what

said no. Should have had a shot at the ship. It was there and we did not take advantage of it.

Very average....the real only saving grace was beating Michigan. The defense has some serious issues that need to be addressed.

A chance to win a BCS bowl game is all you can ask for. We accomplished that. At the end of the day, the absolute best team in the B1G resides in East Lansing. Moving forward will be interesting. First we will have to wait and see who goes to the NFL. If Miller and Shazier come back (which they both absolutely should) then I think we have will be every bit as good as this year. If they don't, then we will obviously be starting the season with a bunch of new faces. But hey this is Ohio State...next man up!

My biggest and MAJOR concern is Luke Fickell. I just don't know how good of a coach he is? It never seems like we are never in the right sets and our guys are always out of position. Something has to change and I fear nothing will just because he is a Buckeye.

It was a good building season but not where we need to be. With a defense with a pulse we go from good to great. Have a few playmakers there, just need cohesion.

Gotta get rid of the defensive staff IMO.

if you just judged by recruiting class rankings it looks like tOSU has been doing very well. how do the buckeyes on the board feel about their depth chart? areas of special strength or concern?

The depth chart looks solid. Biggest question going into next season is offensive line. Also defense is an obvious concern but the players are there. Schemes just suck balls.

I have no problem with the talent we have or the depth. You will find that most will agree that defense and the staff need some serious work!

Need linebackers badly and defensive backs. I was real impressed with Von Bell tonight though.

OL who knows, we've had just about the same people for 2 years.

RB, WR and d line is stacked.

We do have one returning starter on the Oline in Taylor Decker. There have been other guys play in big games this year. Pat Elfien played at Guard for Marcus hall as a true Frosh in the Michigan game. He will be a stud. Jacoby Boren will take over for Corey Linsley at Center. He started a few games when Linsley was out with injury. We all know the Boren brothers. There will be a battle for the remaining 2 spots. Replacing Jack Mewhort will be the biggest test.

This season was not a success. Preseason #2 and zero championships to show for it. We have an embarrassing defense, and until we make personnel changes it will remain that way.

Wow...shocking admission.

It took the end of the year...but, finally an admission of what I said in week 4.

Cause it was also your D too.

You can't let one of the worst Pac-12 teams of all time score 35 on you and claim you were worthy of "the ship."

Is this when I'm supposed to say..."BCS worked?"

As the above posters stated, a new defensive staff is a must.

As for the season? Mediocre

12-2. How many other teams had a record that good? And I'm amazed this team didn't lose more knowing how terrible the defense is.
