Any recommendations for a good taxidermist for birds in Shreveport or north la in general?

Killed my first canvasback drake the other day that I would like to make my first mount. Thanks

Lots of canvasbacks killed this year...

That doesn't help, just an observation.

John Carr Jr in Monroe is top notch. Carr's Taxidermy is his place.

Most taxidermist will take their birds to Magoo's in Monroe. He is about as good as it gets. So cut out the middle man and go there.

I think Kevin Brocato is acknowledged as the best in the Shreveport area. He has won awards in several national competitions. He is not cheap and his turn around time is long but his work is very high quality. He specializes in waterfowl.

I wouldn't take my stuff anywhere else. He has mounted several animals for me and everyone looks as good as you will see anywhere.

I wish I had pictures of my duck mount. They look like they are flying through my living room.
