next year in many ways...other than QB...so a lot rest on Cam to work some magic...he did wonders for Mett...I'm hoping for one more miracle!

A lot of new energy on both sides of the ball. LF and Harris will be leaders from day 1 and could change the morale of the team.

Don't see how we can be better at WR, unless you think the frosh are going to come in and light it up.

L.F. will make our OL look better than they are...although I expect them to be tougher next year...

We won't be better at WR, DT or OL either.

Last week it was Jennings for Heisman. Have we started Harris for Heisman already. It does have a nice sound to it.

No way you can logically predict that we will be better.

The Good:

LSU will have the two best corners in the SEC.

LSU will have a very solid LB core.

LSU should have better safety play...Adams could be a starter by mid season as well.

I personally think even though we lose three really good backs, that with Fournette being a true feature back, that the running game will be as good as this year.

I think the offensive line will be similar to this year...no dominant, but solid.

The Bad:

We will be starting a talented but inexperienced true sophomore QB with a weaker arm that Mett but better feet.

We lose the most dynamic receiving duo the school has ever had and do not appear to have much talent to replace them.

Our average DL is losing the two interior starters and there appears to be very little depth or dynamic talent to replace them on the roster.

The Schedule:

It should be easier overall.

The Result:

Probably 8 wins on the low end and probably 11 wins on the high end (including the bowl).

I think we will struggle next year, although you never know how things like team chemistry, freak turnovers, player development in offseason, etc.. will impact things. Hopefully things will fall into place, but I have very little confidence that we will replace the QB, our best RB, two OLmen, the fullback, our two best WRs, and be as productive as we were this year.

Hopefully the defense improves, which it did at the end of the year, but shutting down a terrible Arkansas and Iowa offense isn't that impressive.

As far as Harris goes, we all said the same thing about Russell Shepard, and Mettenberger when he came over the first year and he didn't even see the field. We said the same thing about Booty, and even after Marcus Randle came in against Ole Miss and did ok people were saying he was going to be great. Harris will be lucky as hell if Miles lets him come in and hand off when we are up 41-13 with three minutes left in one of our OOC showdowns. At least that's generally what we've seen with Miles and the backup QBs.

I think there is a team in the MNC which didn't win a conference game last season. The guys just have to be on the same page and ball out.

Florida's are just as good, if not better.

The two starting DTs this year were miserable...the DEs weren't great...jmho, I think we will be tougher on the DL next year...I think the LBs as a group will be better...and the CBs and safeties will be better...so, the defense will play better as a team as well as individuals...scouts are saying that LF could walk on and start now on more than one NFL team...I like our two FBs next year, more dependable...the TEs will be execellent and balanced with blocking and receiving...I think the OL will get some jacking up and will play tougher...yes, we lose the WRs, I'll give you that, but don't be surprised when Quinn and Dupree shine...they've had good coaching, plus Dural...the punter is improving...in summary, I expect a better team chemistry and more consistency in execution..jmho

I agree. Never bought this year's DL to be anything other than very mediocre.

Too many fans and coaches fall in love with players to everyone's detriment...sorry but I try to step back and look at the facts...there's only Xs and Os when evaluating players...no pets or favorites should enter the picture...sometimes that does not seem to be the case...not being negative, just as I see it....to me it seems obvious that the Ol needs some tweaking...and the DL did not play tough in many instances...jmho
