If Franklin leaves Vandy, who would be a good replacement?

you'd think after what he's done, it'll be easier to attract people to the job, right?

Chad Morris. Vandy should go after him with a passion.

Hudspeth from ULL would be a great hire for them also.

I don't think he would get a job that big yet. I think that he would have to start out at a smaller school.

No way they're getting someone like Chad Morris. I think coaches have taken notice of how even while they're winning, the fans are still as apathetic as ever.

They can pay him more and he gets a HCS title. Doesn't matter about attendance

Kiffin.

First time he fails downward, but is still the best team in the state.

I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say that a coach won't "get a job that big" about a Vanderbilt opening. As for a possible replacement, Petrino won't happen because Vandy is too worried about a clean image. Franklin is brash and cocky, but Petrino has a record of violations that VU wouldn't likely touch.

Promoting from within could be interesting. Franklin stated that 5 assistants have been approached for head coaching positions. Which assistants and which jobs were not announced, and the jobs are likely FCS or very low FBS that Vandy would likely take presidence over though. If Franklin leaves, that staff (which had 0 changes after last season) could very well be almost entirely new.
