You are missing the point that all of the prices for weed thrown out in this thread have been for the "Starbucks" of marijuana, not an average of high grade and low grade marijuana.

And there are many other reasons for knowing the prices of marijuana other than being a stoner. Do you think law enforcement officers, attorneys who handle drug cases, and businessmen in the states legalizing wouldn't want to be up to date with the current pricing structure of marijuana, both legal and illegal? Or maybe just people who read a lot, even you know the current price for weed in Colorado , do we need to piss test your arse?

How about we wait a little while until the market reacts before writing off macro theories?

listen bud

it's perfectly acceptable to criticize bitcoin and proclaim its price point unsustainable, while claiming the price of weed will continue to skyrocket after its own short window of analysis

didn't think one plant would produce a pound maybe 8 ozs, but I have never heard of a pound. Is that normal?

most indoor operations are lucky to get an once per plant.

This. A person probably smokes a lot of people people out all the time. An ounce for yourself in two weeks is a lot. Not saying it's not true just improbably

Have you been reading the comic strip Doonesbury?

It's been a series of scenes where two pot heads have moved to Colorado to set up an indoor pot farming operation specializing in growing pot designed for and targeted exclusively to the gay market.

I normally don't like Trudeau's comic strip but this series has been hilarious!

That's around two grams a day. Not an incredible amount for medical users.

prices (before taxes, mind you) will drop dramatically once the industry gets on its feet. As long as there is an ease of entry for future competitors to enter the market, there will inevitably be a fall in prices. Also, the supply will increase once "farmers" see the incredible quantity being demanded and potential money to be made. This, along with the utility in other industries that can be achieved with marijuana's (hemp products, etc) will also drive supply up, via demand

I smoke from a bong, a spoon, or a dugout. I very rarely roll jays, so no, not wasting. I'm a medically retired veteran going to school full time. I don't care for video games usually(I did get hooked on Fallout 3 and New Vegas a few years ago).

Since I started smoking everyday I have less of a desire to drink. I used to drink any time I had the opportunity to and now it's usually just once or twice every 2 weeks and I smoke probably about half an ounce a month

So I waited in a line yesterday to see first hand how these legal stores were. Being that it was Friday, it was really busy. The "menu" was ridiculous and there was so much to choose from. Quality was also better than you could imagine.

Ahh...I remember the good old days when a lid was $12 and Boone's Farm was $.99 a bottle.

They couldn't start growing plants for their recreational customers until Jan 1st. Supply is going to be very short until the first harvest comes in this spring. Prices will probably keep going up until then.

Same thing is happening in Washington. They can't bring in weed off the streets that would keep the price down. They're starting from scratch as they are being watched and have to follow certain rules.

A few harvests will bring the price down and then they will stay down.

When Washington first passed their law on legalization the street prices in Oregon INSTANTLY dropped. I know people who had no connections getting an instant discount. The local dealers will have to keep the prices low/lower to keep their customers from driving 10 miles into Washington and buying it legally.

Nobody is denying how much you use. But you even you have to understand you aren't a typical user.

What is the taxation of this stuff? Is it a % of the cost or is it a flat amount?

WA state- " The initiative applies a 25% excise tax on each level of the system: producer to a processor, processor to a retailer, and retailer to the customer. In addition, B&O taxes on the production and local retail sales taxes apply."
