I'll be in Chicago on tuesday for a interview. Interview ends at 1 and I have 5 hours to burn until my flight at 8pm. where should I go?

it's going to be 2 degrees during the day and 1 degree at night.. FML.

any suggestions would be great.

Publican Quality Meats would be a good spot. Also maybe avec or blackbird seat through afternoon (all Paul Kahan joints).

Try and make a reservation at The Publican right now

There is actually a good cajun place in the loop called Heaven on Seven.

I went a few months ago when I was in town. I wasn't too impressed. It was good, but I would look elsewhere.

Frontera Grill was just mentioned or Bayless's other place. Can't remember the name.

Went to The Purple Pig a few weeks ago and it was fantastic!

They dont take Reservations so we had a 1hr and 45 minute wait... we went to a bar down the street abd they called us...

I went to the purple pig in May.. it was good but I wasn't blown away.

For the people saying Publican.. is that the Publican quality meats or the publican.. i'm guessing that its the same place like cochon and butcher.

Eataly looks very interesting. thanks!

Im assuming its the same as the New York one? If so, the one in NY is really cool.

No, its way better than whole foods. It has a few different restaurants in it, and some very good markets. Batalli imports a lot of stuff from Italy and its the only place you can get it. The one in NY has a beer garden on the top of it.
