Question: Would any official in the SEC have the guts to make that DPI call?

It was clearly a foul, but I don't think it gets called against Bama in league play.

Yep. In league play Bama gets a drive with about 3:40 left to tie it up.

You know Ritter was watching this going, "Oh come on. I wouldn't call that."

In Bryant Denny that would be offensive PI.

Ritter or Wager's crews would have swallowed their whistles for sure.

I thought so too. I was happy that ref stood up to the Lord.

After further review, the pass interference call is overturned.

Are you sure the receiver wouldn't be 'out of bounds' and the first one to (illegally) touch the ball?

It would not have been called against Bama if it was SEC officials.

No way it would have been called by SEC ref...in fact they would have put time back on the clock to make it fair for Bama.

"Bama got away with one there Verne. But the refs have to let the players play. Great no call."

NO way. And they would have explained it off as "there was contact but the defender did not affect the play".

I would just love to see Alabama play the SEC schedule that LSU, Auburn, Georgia, play and with unbiased officials.
