Jennings' game play an argument for getting your backup meanigful snaps?

I think most of us are a bit taken aback to just how "off" Jennings played yesterday. After seeing him come out and win the Arkansas game, some had expectations that were a little out of reach.

However, I believe most expected him to be a competent QB who though a true freshman, would make safe passes and rely on the run game. While the second part is true, he did not throw the ball well (many passes were innacurate and high)and really didn't exhibit great awareness, sometimes taking sacks when he had time to throw the ball.

That said, many on here clammored for Miles to give AJ meanigful game expereince during our routes of teams. The first two blowout games are difficult (UAB and Kent St) since you want Mett to get the snaps to get his timing down. Hoever, AJ should have been taken over in the 4th quarter and allowed to run plays other than a QB kneel.

Two other games he should have gotten major playing time would have been Furman and also at the end of the Texas A&M game.

Those four games were well decided going into the 4th, and AJ could have benfited greatly.

Next year will be interesting, and now the argument will be "get AJ all the reps so he can develop." I like his attitude on Twitter and do hope he will work hard this offseason.
