It's good.

But yeah, it's enough of an homage to LttP but enough of it's own game to not feel like a remake. Controls really well. Inventory system is so bizarre in terms of the Zelda universe, but it's a welcomed change. I haven't had a ton of time to play it, but it's been great so far.

I saw some screenshots that made me think of LttP. My favorite Zelda ever. Probably b/c it's the only I finished...like 8 times. Loved that game.

If I were to get an original Wii, can I download most Zelda games or are they all designed for specific consoles/handhelds?

supposedly it's in the same universe, and the map is identical

tough to admit, despite playing zelda for the better part of two decades, I've never played a link to the past.

the original, which I could never beat, and then the 64 made me a fan. I still haven't beaten majora's mask. That game is hard as tits.

I would go with wii u since it is backwards compatible.

It has wind waker, and you can get all the zeldas throught the virtual console though the 64 games look exactly like they did when you first played them, which isn't entirely bad...they've aged very well, but they've aged. Pretty much the reason i am going nintendo on this gen. The graphics on the ps4 and xb1 look the same and ocarina was given a serious update on the 3ds. I will be playing that one into the ground as well.

I just need to remember how to get the light arrows. I awlays forget to do that and then get stuck in the final dungeon.

The review mentioned that you can only have two inventory items ready for use with the buttons and the rest are on the bottom screen.

Not sure how that works for the Wii. Gave mine to my sister years ago. She got a Wii U for Christmas so I might see if I can borrow the Wii for a while and check it out. I know you can get a bunch of the old games through their marketplace.

Yes, but I'm referring to the fact that you can rent most of your stuff from this one goofy looking guy for like 20, 50, or 100 rupees. And you don't have to collect bombs or arrows anymore because all of it works off of a meter that recharges.

You can buy the stuff eventually (a lot more expensive), but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

every single zelda from nes to 64 is available through online market, wind waker was just given the hd treatment as a direct title on wii u and TP and SS are compatible with the wii u...

I own every zelda save for the 2d games on nes and snes...I refuse to play the side scroll zelda.

Best thing to do is get a wii u with wind waker on it, then play old titles through it. I eventually plan on playing skyward sword through it.

I'm excited for that part. Any recs on what dungeon to play first? I understand you can only play 3 and then the ones in lorule become available which are pretty much the rest of the dungeons.

I will be purchasing a wii u. frick this ripoff generation...

at least nintendo will give me some great titles. PS4 and xboxone are fricking ripoffs. I'd just as soon convert to a pc gamer, but I don't have the time for that

nintendo will fit my new lifestyle better (getting married in may leaving me infinitely less time to play video games)

The only correct choice for consoles. Build a small iTX PC to game on and a WiiU for a unique console experience.

zelda 2 on nes, which is a very good one. It's just different and probably the hardest.

My least favorite of the series. Its just such an odd entry. Everything about it is different.

It is damn hard. I couldn't or didn't try hard enough as a kid to beat this game. So it wasn't until 16-17 when I finally beat it, on a laptop using an emulator.

batman arkham origins. I have an alloted amount of gaming time, plus work got really hectic around this time. I was going from 6 to 6 every day while commuting like crazy.

There are only two games that can lure me into PC, and one of them is a PS exclusive. I think I can resist an uncharted title. That series isn't worth a $400 console...zelda is I will be doing cartwheels when they release the new one, supposedly in the vain of Twilight Princess. Though I'm not up to date on rumors and announcements.

uncharted and batman.

It isn't and probably wont become. I purchased one because the GF thought filling our living room up with weird little white men would be oh soo cute.

The only title I own and played has been Shadow Fall. Everything else, the bettter Triple AAA titles all yield better experiences on PC. You also have a much larger Indie game library which holds the more unique game mechanics.

Why would YOU not play Batman on PC? It is a nVidia title basically, the performance and detail which PC can offer that game is so much greater than a console.

simple

I own a work computer and I don't know dick about computers

I am thinking about getting one of those new windows pc/touch pads for work. It fits my needs perfectly for work, though I don't think it would hold up well with games on it.
