I don't have time to dig through all the speculation threads. Why do you folks all of a sudden think that Speedy went from 90% LSU to an A&M lock?

Which "insider" do you guys have that's got you so confident in this prediction?

FTR, all the "insiders" said that Andre Debose was a silent and a lock to LSU.

Those with connections to coaching staffs say that the optimism of the A&M side since Monday and the lack of communication on the LSU side are the tells here.

More will cite the mother and grandmother pushing LSU heavily in the last couple days are a sign of his intentions.

Recruiting is fluid. Debose was committed to LSU. Not sure anyone called him a lock, but the day he gave a silent, Urban called his phone 50 times to get him to slow his role. Needless to say, he ended up back w the Gators.

I think this one is still too close to call. Very fluid.

Enjoy the day RB!!

Just to clear the air, i'm a part of the North Carolina LSU Alumni Chapter, I was told from a member whose source close to aTm that Speedy made his commitment to Sumlin. Now that's what I was told, "Momma is not happy" I hope it is just a rumor , but that's what we are being told.

jimmy smith asked him about his family pushing him to go to LSU and you could tell it annoyed him, he answered "my family is behind me where ever I go" (paraphrasing)

Who is LSUSportsNews? I've always considered whoever is behind it as the Kige Ramsey of LSU Sports.

fwiw, Shipp's crystal ball, along with all the big shots at 247, is still LSU

Read his twitter page. The lean is on A&M but Speedy is still going to meet with family to figure it out. Says it's going to take some work to get it going LSU's way.

I agree that we just won't know until later today.

And then it's still not 100% over. Both schools will continue to fight.

Which 18 year old you know make logical decisions? Think about it. We looks at all the positives at LSU but in a young soon to be stars head it doesn't matter. The grass is always greener til you rwalize its fertilized with bullshite

It is believed that he thinks A&M offenses would put the ball in his hands a lot more, which he wants. Today’s kids tend to see this as what they need to get to the next level.
Never mind that LSU runs a pro-style offense which belter prepares a kid for the NFL (as confirmed by Gruden yesterday). Never mind that LSU had 2 receivers over 1000 yrds while A&M had none….
There are those that lean towards flash and dazzle rather substance, quality and depth……

He watched our QB play in the Outback Bowl and said WTF........
Maybe he sees LSU as underutilizing kids with his skills. Not like we run an open passing offense. We will always be run oriented and that is great when we have studs at RB and a good OL

Do you have LEGITIMATE proof that speedy was ever 90% LSU?

Speedy has always talked highly of A&M, and has bounced LSU in and out of his top schools frequently. But everyone assumed he was trolling and having fun with the process. Now it seems as though he has been honest for the most part.

I want Speedy at LSU, but don't act like the kid is making a bad decision by picking TAMU. He will excel wherever he goes.

LSU has a track record of producing NFL receivers. Streak to continue this year.

You say that like its a bad thing... the ultimate goal is to get to the NFL and get paid for these kids.

Exactly RAT...

aTm couldn't finish higher than 3rd in the west with JFF... There is no reason to think they'll do any better without him. I guess these kids put a higher priority on putting up stats than competing for championships.
