I was impressed by Hill and your OL. You were able to run the ball well against our D which I wasn't expecting.

Your D stepped up as well.

The young QB will be good with some more experience. Too bad the WRs will be going pro (that was what I was reading) as they were the real deal and I would expect LSU to really roll if Hill and those 2 came back.

Good Luck next year. Hope to see you in the play-offs in the near future! We need games like this to let our young guys know where we need to be in terms of OL/DL play and to double their efforts in weight room, etc.

What if I were to tell you we are expecting an even better back than Hill to come in next year

What if I were to tell you that the receiving group will be as competitive as this group, with growing pains however

The defense wi only continue to get better with experience

I would burst your bubble about star ratings by responding "I doubt that"

Too bad, the one you have is already one of the best in the country, and you wouldn't have to go through any growing pains

No kidding ;-)

This was a rebuilding year for Iowa so I expect them to be better next year, however each team is different, so you never know. And yes, I do actually know there are 4 teams in the playoff next year, but I fully expected some tools to respond to this topic. Good luck next year!

This is the same thought many tiger fans have. Our offense will take a step or two back next year.

Every message board has them and we certainly have our share on the Iowa board too!

I'll be back ... I might come down to the LSU vs Wisconsin game next year as I follow the Badgers pretty closely as well (my wife graduated from UW Madison). Would love to tailgate with some of you guys.

While I bleed purple and gold as an LSU Alum, I lived in W Des Moines for 8 years. So have come to also really respect the Hawkeye Nation. Both teams should be proud. That was an old fashion smash mouth football game won on the trenches. Hill, who we will definitely be starring on Sundays, was the difference maker.

Impressed as expected by your LBs. They were all over the field making plays. Good luck next year to the Hawkeye Nation.

I remember when OBJ was a freshman and dropped all kinds of passes. Now he has all world hands. Yes, there will be some growing pains. You cannot replace those two guys heads up.

Congrats to you too j0nnyhb.

I knew this was going to be a tough game. Iowa won a lot of big games this year and came very close against some others.
The Hawkeyes never gave up and played hard til the end.
FWIW, Iowa's helmets are my second favorite behind LSU's.

yes, best 2 out of 3 would be great! Thanks everyone for the kind words... Take care!

I see the thread on Les Miles. I was never much of a fan of his, but I do think he is a very good football coach and knows how to build a strong punishing team that can run and stop the run which is the way football should be played IMO (Alabama does the same). He seems kind of fake to me in the media, but he can coach. Now that he has Cam as OC, that will pay dividends in the passing game (as you guys know).

+1 If you saw Les speak at Tiger functions like the Bayou Recruiting Bash or LSU Award Banquets, on in videos with his family, or to his team in the locker room or in practice, you would see the real Les Miles.
He is an honest, caring, patriotic (3 visits to troops overseas) consumate family man.

But he cares less than doodlebug feces what other people, esp. the media, think of him.
