I don't think strong would be a bad hire at all, just not the absolute homerun texas fans have thought they were going to get.

Charlie Strong would be an outstanding hire if it happens. He'd make Texas play the kind of ball a Texas team should play. He'd finally give them a punishing defense.

Strong would be a great hire imo. With all the Texas high school talent he would have at his disposal not to mention he has strong recruiting ties in Florida and could pluck the best recruits from the state. Would be a deadly combo.
