Bro, I did P90X a few years ago, but I let myself go after I had surgery and then my son was born. I had never weighed over 200 pounds in my entire life before then. I looked like shite, felt like shite.

I'm so glad I said enough.

I was a big p90x guy the first time it came out. did a couple of rounds and got in phenomenal shape, but i have learned that there are more efficient ways to get in the same shape

I would like to hear more detail about this. I swear by p90x and usually start it every February to get back in shape for the summer. I find it extremely efficient considering the results, however, it does require a lot of time, especially when you consider cooling down, showering, etc.

You got something that works more efficient and gets similar results?

300 yard drives keeps the weight off.

You ordered it online or did you pick it up at a store? I was a couple weeks away from completing the original p90x, but then my wife had the twins and I haven't worked out since. I lost about 18+ pounds and never stuck to a diet and drank beer 5 days a week . Think I may try to do some dieting this time so I can get full results.

Honestly, I've stopped drinking, at least for now. The reason why is I learned your body metabolizes alcohol before anything else. So, if you're trying to burn fat, drinking only becomes an obstacle.

Of course, I'm not saying I will never drink again. I just want to give this a chance. I want to be completely shredded.

Good luck, brother. It's amazing the results you will see.

I can now do 15 pullups all the way down (I'm talking all the way down with no kipping) with an 8-pound medicine ball between my feet. I never thought I would ever be able to do that.

I may try P90X3 after one more round of X2.

..Thanks

The wife and I did a round of P90x about 3 years ago and we were pretty impressed with the results without following the diet plan.. Granted the copy we got was only just hat a copy a friend gave us.. Getting all of it this go round and following the laid out diet plan should really be amazing.. can't wait to start..
Tired of being fat and outta shape..

Is this a good workout? I need something to get back into shape again.

I might just do insanity because I already have that but I'm definitely gonna need to work out some before that so I don't die because I'm so out of shape. I really want to lose around 15-20 lbs

Yeah, it's a turning point. Mine was when my wife and I were out to dinner with my son. I was holding him. If you have kids, you know you kick your hip out. I saw myself in a window and saw my gut. I felt like I was looking at myself for the first time. I ordered P90X2 that same night.

I hear you get better results with this workout, but it looks too intense for me. I would probably die of a heart attack.

I've never completed it but have done the workouts and I like them. Its a lot of all out type working out which is the kind of stuff I loved back when I was in shape in high school.

I'm way to out of shape to start that now so I'm gonna try to run or swim for the next few weeks and get started at some point in February
