I know it's legal to own but I'm assuming you have to have a trust set up prior to purchasing.

I don't need a silencer but I'm kind of curious about the permit needed to have one

Don't have to have a trust. You can purchase as an individual through a dealer. Now there are quicker ways to get approved...

So if I wanted to buy one all I would need would to have it shipped to my FFL or would he have to have a class 3 license.

Trust is the way to go, especially with the foolishness that our elected officials are trying to put into law.

Trust is definitely the way to go. Having a trust will allow the dealer to electronically file the forms (unavailable to the individual), which is a more streamlined way of getting that approval.

Can be done multiple ways but trust is currentlythe best method. I have been waiting 10 months on mine and have not received even the first approval yet. I honestly would not start another right now. It's just too long to wait with no certainty of the future.

I hope to have my AAC SDN-6 by June of next year.

A trust is also a way to allow other members of your family to use it without you presence.
