I use this turn pretty frequently when I receive the ball with somebody at my back. 60% of the time, it works every time.

(I'm useless after I make the turn, but it's still fun to do.)

Going to add that to my extensive repertoire of 0 effective moves on the ball.

No but seriously. Most efficient way to get around a defender for me is: outside of the foot, run like hell. Thank God I'm just a little guy and can run like Raheem Sterling from a child support hearing.

From a rapidly aging former little guy that used to be able to just run past people:

Start learning a couple tricks.

We should play against each other and have a track meet. My one move in indoor: dribble directly at defender on the wing, kick ball off of wall around defender, run around defender, repeat as many times as possible until I send in shitty cross/shot or lose ball due to awful touch

Well I actually got really very good at crosses and passing because I've spent my life avoiding taking defenders on. I'm like the 26 year old, out of shape, Loyola Law grad Iniesta.

I'm 30 and actually only played in my first soccer game ever last February when my brother in law asked me to come play in his indoor over 30 league. Grew up in a football and baseball only house. All that considered I do ok for myself. Will have one or two moments each game though where my lack of experience with a ball at my feet really shows. One thing I do understand better than some guys out there is positioning and making good runs to open shite up. Guess I understand the game well. Just never played.

Eta: grapes and water. Come on cowboys. Don't want to play in philly next week.

Probably the most underrated skill on the pitch.

Also way more complicated than anyone thinks. I play a ton of 2v2 FIFA and spend the majority of the game yelling at my non soccer playing teammate for their off ball runs that ruin every attack

Agreed. And very seldom do supporters give players credit for it. Borini gets vilified at LFC, but he's one of the best off the ball we have.

I usually tried to do the GAM.

The GAM is one of my other go-tos.

Run away from everyone, attempt two stepovers, trip over the ball, blame the referee while the defender runs the other way.

The David Beckham overcooked cross that no one can ever get on the end of is another one of my specialties.
