Midwest football is dead.

Gone and buried.

Anybody watching Michigan tonight would notice three things...

1) Looked slow and nonathletic to freakin' K-State!
2) White guys at the skill positions.
3) Lacking muscle and bulk and again, too damn slow...too damn small...too damn white.

The best Midwest football will ever get to again is the level of Boise State.

Bye-bye Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State.

How bad do you have to be to lose 5 games in the Big10?

The last time Notre Dame won a meaningful bowl game - it was 1989.

Outclassed ever since. Fiesta Bowl vs. Oregon freakin' State was the wake up call. ND couldn't cross the 50 yard line.

New era. Midwest football has never recovered since.

Isn't ND 3-1 against your team, USC, over the past 3 years? I don't disagree that midwest football isn't great shakes, although I dont't really put ND in that category since they recruit nationally. I do agree they haven't won a major bowl in a while. But that has a little something to do with Bob Davie, Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis.

...and a winning record vs the PAC in the BK era (with games vs Stanford every year). Not to mention, higher average recruiting rankings

Also, ND is putting players into the league at a very high rate with three more projected 1st rounders this year.

Midwestern football might be on the decline, but ND is very much on the rise.

All this glory and yet BK is 1-3 against a struggling Michigan program. Hmmm.

BK will leave in a year or two when he realizes he will never have a season again when everything goes his way like last year.
