Not you as an individual

But large corporations can have an impact. Particularly a collection of large corporations.

There is nothing wrong with reasonable environmental regulations to keep people in check.

This is the part that gets me. Do people really not see what's going on? The Koch brothers and others fund anti-Global Warming and other studies because they're afraid of change and having to conform to regulations at the expense of profits. It's disgusting

It's also important to note that even a change in the average temperature by one or two degrees may seem insignificant, but it can wreak havoc on ecosystems. We're already seeing its affect on polar bears in the far north. With all of the melting ice they're unable to hitch rides on floating pieces of ice, and as a result many of them are drowning from it.

Maybe the polar bears can hang out around all the ice-bound ships for some handouts.

What's disgusting about making a profit?

The NYT just did an end of the year feature saying 2013 was a horrible year for tornadoes and forest fires. Lots of pics of the carnage. But no mention of actual numbers compared to other years.

By itself? Nothing. I'm far from a socialist

However, destroying the environment is never a good option. I understand that as of now the technology isn't there for a mass switch to renewable energy, but the fact that the Kochs and others are heavily funding efforts to stop new forms of energy and Global Warming studies is in fact disgusting

I love how those who deny Global Warming use single year/month and often anecdotal evidence to "disprove" Global Warming

By denying Global Warming you're basically condoning it

I don't know your stance on it though. I'm speaking generally

So you just accept everything "they" say including the doomsday scenarios? Many of which have been changed?

You're on a roll this morning. Don't publicly display your stupidity so easily. You are wrapped in drama for some reason

The continued spread of the Arctic ice cap at such a tremendous rate seems to indicate that the contribution humans have made to global warming, while not beneficial for the environment, is not as crucial to the Earth’s climate as is the nature of repeating ocean cycles.

Humans are so quick to delude themselves into thinking they are so important that they can suddenly change processes that have been occurring for billions of years.

How is denying that humans can have a major impact on the environment not condoning it?

People who think that way often have a "profit over everything" mentality

Particularly the idiots who look at receding glaciers and assume it's because I drive an SUV. They started retreating 300 years ago.

I'm sure we're affecting our environment in an adverse manner, but the drama queens who speak in absolutes and draw apocalyptic images of the future based on a slight temp increase do their side a disservice.

The ones who state such idiot things as "advocate destroying the environment."

The environment isn't going to be destroyed, Liberace. No one is advocating it. THe climate warming isn't "destroying" the environment.

Is that what i said? That i just accept everything at face value?

No..But to deny that increased levels of carbon dioxide and CFCs do not increase the earth's temperature is playing blind

I do not sit here and think that if we get one massive hurricane "Oh my god! its global warming!", just the same as I do not do what the OP did and claim "fires and tornadoes lowest in a while!Global warming is crap!"

I don't think that the fact that it is happening, to whatever extent, is up for debate
