Has it been posted that 2013 was the lowest year in tornadoes (& forest fires)

I think that would be important to know as the deadline approaches toward total global warming destruction.
quote:

Whether you’re talking about tornadoes, wildfires, extreme heat or hurricanes, the good news is that weather-related disasters in the US are all way down this year compared to recent years and, in some cases, down to historically low levels.’

Oh, and of course theres this
quote:

Extreme Heat: The number of 100 degree days may ‘turn out to be the lowest in about 100 years of records’

Hurricanes: ‘We are currently in the longest period (8 years) since the Civil War Era without a major hurricane strike in the US (i.e., category 3, 4 or 5)’ ( last major hurricane to strike the US was Hurricane Wilma in 2005)

Even Smoky the Bear approves
quote:

The latest data show both tornadoes and now wildfires in dramatic decline.

Keep pumping that CO2. Lives depend on it

I'm gonna go outside and rev my V8 American built engine and spray aerosol into the air in celebration

Don't you see?!?! It's so obvious.

Bush invented the weather machine and used it for evil. Obama then inherited the weather machine and used it for good.

Somehow he kept control of the device that caused the meteor strike in Russia though.

This could be a new slogan.

"Create a safer world for children. Support Climate Change."

Icebreakers unable to reach stranded Russian climatologists because the ice is too thick..

quote:

The Russian expedition ship is carrying scientists and passengers led by an Australian climate change professor, but they all may have to wait two more days for one or all three icebreakers to free it, said Capt. Wang Jiangzhong of the Snow Dragon.

I love how those who deny Global Warming use single year/month and often anecdotal evidence to "disprove" Global Warming

I love how those that believe in the religion of global warming don't realize they are doing the same thing.

Continue on fricking up the planet. I'm sure there won't be any repercussions later on!

I agree, but you have to be careful about where you start. We've been cooling if you start when the earth was a molten volcanic miasma, but have warmed up considerably from the time the world was a giant iceball.

Nothing I do or don't do will have any appreciable impact on the planet one way or the other.

Yeah, we've known for a while that the Earth goes through climate shifts. However this particular climate shift is warming much, much faster than previous ones. We know this from the arctic ice drilling and probably other techniques I don't understand

It's pretty obvious that greenhouse gases trap heat... so would it not make sense to say that pumping more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere would equal higher temperatures? Seems like common sense

It's also important to note that even a change in the average temperature by one or two degrees may seem insignificant, but it can wreak havoc on ecosystems. We're already seeing its affect on polar bears in the far north. With all of the melting ice they're unable to hitch rides on floating pieces of ice, and as a result many of them are drowning from it.
