This is why the NFL is the best league in the world. The scheduling department tries to look in to their crystal ball every year to set up these exciting week 16 match-ups and this time they knocked it out of the park. 2 win or go home games and every NFC playoff spot (1-6) up for grabs. I love that our game got flexed so we will already know if we are going for the 2 seed or a wild card spot before kickoff.

-2009 was great because we had the 1 seed locked up before week 14 but man isn't this roller coaster ride exciting?!

This specific roller coaster? Absolutely not. Been more downs than ups the past 6 weeks.

In general? Yeah it's been a pretty great year around the league as far as parity goes

Hey Hulk, to be able to lose your last 3 regular season games and still get the 1 seed is pretty close to having something locked up. If you want to sit here on Friday morning and be a shite head than good for you. Mathematically it wasn't locked up but you know what I meant.

What?

I wasn't debating "locked up" or whatever. I don't think this rollercoaster ride is worth a frick. Give me 1 seed locked up over the Saints stumbling into the playoffs any day.

Parity is the reason for NFL success and popularity. They have perfected it. My only beef is the changing of the game to being so wide open. I'm not a fan of the direction to 49-45 games. Reminds me of the NBA where it's just the last shot too many times. As painful as the Carolina game was, is was classic in that you sensed the importance of each possession.

I've been contemplating taking a big step backwards as a fan if our Saints golden age fades. Too much pussification and political correctness increasing each year.

It seems like a monsoon is the only way to keep the games low scoring nowadays. Sure the Saints and Panthers have good defenses this year, but with the way the flags are being thrown, its easy to score points against the best of teams. Def. Pass Interference is the best play in the playbook for an Offense struggling to move the ball. Just throw it up and let the receiver flop!

That and just that more outcomes are more on officials judgement than team performance. Was it a hit or wasn't it? Was it too high or too low? Was the player defenseless? Gimme a fukkin break. I do miss old school toughness. Johnny Unitas has to be rolling in his grave.

Take a coupla minutes and enjoy these. 90% of these would now be a flag.

I know for a fact I will care less and less about football as I get older. I'm just turning 24, happy birthday to me. I still love the Saints, and invest a lot of time and emotion into this team, but that will decrease with age. I was huge on LSU and college ball, but now I'm nothing more than a casual fan.

I don't care about LSU that much at all anymore. I still love the Saints....duh. But even with the saints, I used to never miss a home game and made a couple road trips every year. Lately, I'll make 3-4 home games a year. Things change when you have kids.

That's a big factor but the game itself is doing it for me. I was once such a huge beisbol fan that I considered going into management professionally. Team salary disparity and steroids ruined it. I just glance at a few games a year now. If the current direction of the NFL continues, I can envision backing down similarly in the future.

I like that our game was flexed to the late afternoon game.

but there a lot of things that I don't like about today's NFL.

I feel like it has become too watered down. From the Thursday night games to switching the draft to May in 2014. Basically, we'll have something going on each month now.

Is that really necessary?

I haven't made it to a game this year. First time since 1990...

still record every game though and add it to my vault of Saints games.

I went to the Tampa Bay game last year in New Orleans... still a chance I might go this Sunday. Riding the charter bus is cool and all but I've been working a lot lately.

I'm kind of tired... that usually doesn't happen to me

Saints will whoop some Buccaneer arse tomorrow and give us all a warm fuzzy feeling going into the new year! Book it!
