Hunting Food Plots Question

Disclaimer going in-for years I've hunted over feeders or in thick shite, so I'm a novice at hunting greenfields/food plots. My cousin and I were taking last night-he thinks when the greens are covered with ice or thick frost that the deer are a lot less likely to come to the fields than to go scrounging in the woods for remaining acorns or other browse. Judging from having seen zippo over one of the prettiest food plots I've ever seen two mornings in a row, maybe he's right?

The last two days have been "one fish" days on the isolunar calendar for most of the state. This explains why you aren't seeing deer. I've been off all week and haven't considered going hunting because of the isolunar. I'm saving up my time at home with the wife and son and will cash in those chips next week when they have 3 and 4 fish days.

Deer usually won't come into the food plots until after the frost is burn off. Also deer round my part of La is moving in the middle of the day
